Do save this somewhere as these are really useful when you need to print pics etc.

If you dont know what these are -.-…. they are standard photographic print sizes. so if you happen to step into a photo printing shop, you have to specify what size you want….

Common ones are in bold.

3R 3½” × 5″ or 89 × 127 mm
4R 4″ × 6″ or 102 × 152 mm
5R 5″ × 7″ or 127 × 178 mm
6R 6″ × 8″ or 152 × 203 mm
8R 8″ × 10″ or 203 × 254 mm
8RS 8″ × 12″ or 203 × 305 mm

10R 10″ × 12″ or 254 × 305 mm
12R 12″ × 15″or 305 × 381 mm
12RS 12″ × 18″ or 305 × 465 mm

And the following would be necessary when you need to decide how big a mounting board you should buy….

A0      841 x 1189      33.1 x 46.8
A1     594 x   841     23.4 x 33.1
A2     420 x   594     16.5 x 23.4
A3     297 x   420     11.7 x 16.5
A4     210 x   297       8.3 x 11.7

A5     148 x   210       5.8 x  8.3
A6     105 x   148       4.1 x  5.8
A7       74 x   105       2.9 x  4.1
A8       52 x     74       2.1 x  2.9

The photog group asked me why they got it wrong for this question (in their test papers..):

7) When does ‘Red Eye’ happen?

a) When light reflected off the blood vessels in the eye are photographed
b) When lens flare causes the eyes of the person(s) photographed to be red
c) When the camera flash brightens the pictue too much, causing the eys to appear red
d) When the picturee’s composition is unbalanced

O f course, people would choose the answer B cause it sounds very scientific but that’s not the answer.

So which is?
